Lots of smoke from the front brakes! Messing around, testing stuff at high speeds.

I upgraded to F150 rear brakes, but the front brakes are still stock, and even though I took a lot of weight off the car, they're not exactly sufficient for high speed stops. At some point, I plan to cut off the rotor area of the front hubs on the lathe, and make the newly machined hubs accept slip-on Jeep cherokee rotors.(same wheel lug pattern) I will need to fabricate brackets to mount the Cherokee calipers also. That will give me at least twice the front braking power, and will be pretty cheap with easily replaceable parts.

Just cruising. It's pretty loud in the car. I removed all sound deadening material, carpet, etc. (lost 90 lbs total from all that crap) I have plans to lighten the car further, possibly as much as 250-300 lbs, which will bring it down close to 2100 lbs and of course improve acceleration, handling and braking. Then I'll build the 427 stroker for it, going from 530hp to 650hp, and 420ft/lbs of torque to 550ft/lbs. With slicks, I expect to be able to go low 9s at the strip, and still use the car as a daily driver if I want. On street radials it won't be much faster than it is now, since traction will still be a big issue.

I don't know, I didn't paint it because I wanted to see if it would crack in certain places. I've tried several different methods of bonding a scoop to a steel hood over the years, and this one is definitely my best effort, but it's not perfect. There's a small flaw visible on the left side. I plan on grinding off the primer and filler and re-applying 2 more layers of cloth and resin. After that, I will paint the hood with the rest of the car.
