I get the occasional email from some of the dealerships I've visited over the years advertising a lot of lease specials.  Normally I don't suggest a lease unless you're a business owner and could use a tax deduction.  But if you don't mind a car payment, and don't put a lot of miles on the clock each year, I get quite a few $199 per month offers from various manufacturers.  This is one way to get into a new car with a factory warranty.

Or, I know where you can get a nice Jaguar .  .  .

I drive over 15,000 miles a year and have no desire for a lease.

I can certainly understand that.  A lease is a great option for someone who doesn't mind a perpetual car payment.  The benefit to that is always having a car covered by the manufacturer's warranty.  But it doesn't work for someone who drives a lot.

I offer the same advice as in the past:  Don't be afraid to search outside the box.  You may be surprised at what you might find .  .  .

Click for the ad !  2002, 46k miles, $13,997, doesn't seem bad at all.

Wow !  I know it's expensive, but it's only got 9,700 miles on the clock !  It's nice to dream .  .  .
