I just wasn't to pleased with it. The icons look like they were designed for a Sesame Street forum, I spent 35 minutes trying to get flash to work, and worst of all.. my mouses center scroll was way to fast and jumpy. From what I can tell, there is no way to configure / smooth out the center scroll wheel on my mouse.

Thats a deal breaker for me, back to Windows 7. I really wanted to like Ubuntu  Sad

I have Ubuntu installed on my computer, but haven't had much of a chance to use it. I think I have 11.04 as well.

I used to use 8.XX and later 9.XX when my old laptop's Windows got corrupted, and it was great then. Hopefully I have a better experience. I do agree on the icons being not very well done however.

Now back to toying with Ubuntu.. the mouse center scroll was actually a easy fix. I now have no complaints about the center scroll wheel speed.

If everything plays out good in the next week or so, I may switch over to Linux (with Windows dual-booting option, of course)

I've always thought that the biggest hold-back for desktop *nux that isn't OSX is that the FOSS community is full of people that can't do user experience worth shit
