Im not sure if anyone here will find this as interesting as i did but i thought i would share as there is an exibition where i work of this.

Abandoned Ireland is a collection of photos from a man called Tarquin Blake documenting many of the old abandoned buildings through out Ireland. Where possible a short history of the building is also included.

Menlo castle. County Galway

this is the type of pictures on the web site so check it out if you think it will interest you.

Some fascinating Ireland architecture there.

When I read the title the first thing that came to my mind:

That's an awesome site !  I could get lost for hours there.  Throughout my travels in Austria, I've had the opportunity to visit many castles, both restored and abandoned.  Those trips were my favorite part of my visits .  .  .

Adam would love that you posted this thread. He LOVES abandoned buildings. In fact, last year at this time we were supposed to meet up with Michelle and a few other guys who lived around that area and stay overnight at an abandoned hospital.

That's awesome Brendan, thanks for sharing that. Do you work at a museum or something? I've got to get to Ireland someday.
