I'm not a big fan of concept cars, but Mazda's Shinari concept caches me. Are you thinking Aston Martin Rapid? Forget about its four-door GT/Supercar look, its purely a new design showcase under the company's new styling boss Ikuo Maeda.

Some of the styling cues will be used under the next generation Mazda 6. No word on the next generation RX-sports car, it is on hold, it seems that Mazda is struggling to meet new emission standards.

Most importantly, for those of you that do not like the "smiley face" grill (not me) on some current Mazda's, good news.. that feature will be gone! A new front end styling direction is under way, the "signature wing" is formed by a thin aluminum band that starts from the bottom of the grille and goes out and up through the headlamps.
