My fat old HP 17'' decided to fry the its motherboard out of embarrassment due to excessive weight (it weighed like 11 pounds). This generally sucked, except for the fact that I have a lighter, faster, higher-res, and longer lasting computer now.

I got a Dell Studio 1558.

It looks like this (through my Pre's crappy camera):

This is what's inside:
- 15.6'' 1080p LCD (I love the 1080p part; so much fits on the screen in PS)
- 2.27 GHz Core i3 w/ 3MB Cache
- 3GB DDR3 RAM (I think I have an empty slot so I'm going to try and harvest either the memory from my mom's old computer or from my laptop.)
- 320GB 7200RPM HDD (After it got formatted it's really only 280GB. Thank god for externals to keep my movies on.)
- 9 Cell Battery (5+ hours of battery life. It's awesome for a 15.6'' I think.)
- Win7 Home Premium (Does what I need.)

Also, I got Office Professional+ through my parents at ND. I must say, OneNote is fantastic.

What do you dudes think? Did I make a good choice?
