Lexus has just proven themselves. Not that the Nurburgring is the end all be all of racing, but you can't deny this is fast.

Thats retarded fast, I know it smoked the Viper ACR, which smoked the Corvettes and Skylines. I don't remember what the Zonda R did though, but I don't think it's street legal.

Not being a GM fan boy. But there are some facts here that at least would make good talking points.

1. The LFA in the video had a cage. Some might say this would make it a "non-production" version, because you can not order an LFA from the factory with a cage. I happen to side with them. I do not call this a production car lap time. I do not un-validate it though. I believe without the cage though, it would be nearly the same lap time.

2. Vette ZR1 returned to the 'ring with it's freshened 2012 model. Set a 7:19 and change

3. I ask, can you justify taking 5 seconds off a lap time for the extra 300,000 dollars over a ZR1? I can't.

Not to mention that the Viper ACR went back this week and ran 7:12.

Can you even buy an LF-A? I thought you could only lease one of the few that will be made. That seems to me it would take it out of the production car realm.

You can buy theme. At first, Lexus planned to only lease (in North America) the first 100 LFAs to prevent owners from reselling the vehicle for a profit, but Lexus latter changed and allowed outright purchase of the vehicle. Now, I think there is some kind of contract agreement you have to sign (much like Ferrari) to try to keep buyers from reselling for profit, but I don't know the details.

I configured mine online.

Then I realized it cost $375,000
